Anche a Winnipeg il Natale è Schiaccianoci

Tradizione ormai consolidata per il Canada's Royal Winnipeg Ballet è quella di riproporre per le feste un classico che non passa mai di moda e che fa tornare bambini un po' tutti, lo Schiaccianoci. Il 22 Dicembre è stata la data della prima rappresentazione, che resterà in scena solamente fino al 30 del mese.
Spettatori in estasi e tutti in piedi ad applaudire uno spettacolo che è riuscito a donare molte emozioni e a ricreare un clima Natalizio ormai perso nel ventunesimo secolo. Uno spettacolo per tutta la famiglia che incanta ed avvolge e che ti fa sentire parte della famiglia di Clara e partecipe nella storia.

Le coreografe Galina Yordanova e Nina Menon, tuttavia, non ci hanno voluto presentare il solito racconto, ma l’hanno leggermente modificato per donargli un tocco più canadese aprendo lo spettacolo con una partita di hockey ed introducendo nella storia animali tipici come gli orsi e le renne, così da rendere la storia ancora più fantasiosa e riuscire a far spuntare un sorriso sulla faccia degli spettatori.
Nel primo atto dello spettacolo è riassunta la gran parte della storia, dalla vigilia di Natale fino alla sconfitta dei topi e alla trasformazione da giocattolo in essere umano dello Schiaccianoci, mentre nel secondo atto si da largo spazio ai festeggiamenti per l'arrivo di Clara e del principe a Castel Confetto con danze da tutte le parti del mondo, e si conclude poi con il risveglio di Clara.
Bravo il Corpo di ballo, composto da ballerini provenienti da tutto il mondo, anche se qualche errore tecnico si è visto in modo evidente. L'interpretazione di Chenxin Liu e di Dmitri Dovgoselets, rispettivamente nei panni di Clara e dello Schiaccianoci è stata veramente profonda e capace di trasmettere intense emozioni allo spettatore. Molto belle ed interessanti alcune coreografie di gruppo presenti nel secondo atto, molto studiate e particolari.
Nello spettacolo i coreografi hanno fatto largo e buon uso di bambini in quasi tutte le scene, riuscendo a dare al pubblico quel senso di gioia, innocenza e divertimento tipico del Natale. Inoltre, nel cast del RWB, si sono aggiunti personaggi famosi "intrusi" nel mondo della danza, di certo una scelta di marketing vincente, che forse riuscirà ad avvicinare al balletto anche i più restii.

La realizzazione dello spettacolo, in collaborazione con la Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, riesce a dare allo spettatore un'esperienza a 360 gradi, facendolo immergere ancora di più nello spettacolo grazie ad un’ esperienza sonora di alta qualità.
Un mix tra danza e orchestra che è riuscito ad attirare non solo i più nostalgici ed attempati, ma anche molti giovani, entusiasti di assistere ad un classico del balletto.
Prossime date dello spettacolo sono il 23 Dicembre con 2 spettacoli, alle 13 ed alle 19, il 26 alle 16, il 28 e 29 alle 19 ed infine il 30 Dicembre alle 13 e alle 19 per poter chiudere l'anno in bellezza prima del cenone con la famiglia il 31.

Christmas is Nutcracker, in Winnipeg too.

Tradition for the Canadian Royal Winnipeg Ballet is performing, during Christmas break, a classic of the ballet that never goes out of style, The Nutcracker. This show is very captivating, full of magic, making everyone want to become a kid again. December 22nd has been the first day of the show, that will stay at the Winnipeg Concert Hall just until the 30 of the month.
The audience is standing clapping in ecstasy for the show, that makes you feel thousands of emotions at the same time, and that brings back the traditional sense of the Christmas spirit that is gone in the 21th century. A performance made for the whole family that charms you and makes you feel a part of Clara's family by involving the audience in the history.
The choreographers Galina Yordanova and Nina Menon didn't want to show us the traditional story, but slightly modified it, by adding a little bit of the typical Canadian style, by starting the show with a hockey game and adding at the history grizzlys, polar bears and reindeers, making the show more fantastic and keeping the audience smiling.
In the first act of the show much of the history from Christmas eve, including the defeat of the mouse, and the transformation of the nutcracker turning to a human, are a big part of the history. In the second act, there are all the celebrations for the arrival of Clara and the prince at the Sugar Plum Fairy's kingdom. Upon the arrival of Clara and the Prince, different dances from all over the world are performed for them. At the end of the show Clara awoke realising that it was all a dream.
The performances by the Corps de ballet, formed by dancers from all over the world was good, even if sometimes there may have been some clear technical errors. The interpretation of Clara and the Nutcracker played by Chenxin Liu and Dmitri Dovgoselets was really deep and touching, capable of moving the emotions of the audience. The second act was very beautiful with many different and interesting choreographies, that was well studied and particular.
The choreographers used a lot of children in almost all the scenes, making the public feel the joy, innocence and happiness typical of Christmas. Furthermore the RWB corps de ballet also brought celebrities as "intruders" for the dance world, making it a more successful marketing tactic, that may attract the more reluctant crowd of people to want to come and watch the show.
The show also incorporated the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra which gave the audience a 360 degree experience, giving them not only a wonderful visual involvement but also an audio of high quality.
A perfect mix between dance and orchestra, that has attracted not only the more nostalgic and old style, but also the young audience, enthusiastic of being there for seeing one of the most classic and well known ballet.
The next dates of the show in December 2016 will be on the 23rd with 2 shows airing at 1:00pm and 7:00pm, the 26th at 4:00pm, the 28th and 29th at 7:00pm and the last show performances on the 30th at 1:00pm and 7:00pm. This show is a wonderful way to close 2016 and a great way celebrate the New Year.
